We use Snazaroo face paint products and all sponges/brushes are rinsed/cleaned in-between face paints and water is changed regularly.

Do the face paints come of easily?
Some colours in our range contain high pigment contents and in some cases and on certain skin types may be a little stubborn to remove. This depends on different skin factors such as the dryness of the skin, the amount of natural oils in the skin, the absorbency of the skin, the elasticity of the skin, what else has been applied to the skin prior to it being face painted, how strong you are applying the paints (the amount of water you add), how many times the face has been painted, the temperature of the day as well as the skin surface and how long the paint stays on the face and what is used to remove the face paints.
In most cases, you should be able to remove the face paint with some warm water and soap. We do note on the packaging that some colours may stain but any staining will go away. We recommend continuing to use warm water and soap or baby wipes but if the skin becomes irritated from scrubbing we suggest to leave it for a while before trying again. We recommend that when you use face paints again, you try putting a layer of white as a base that should stop any staining.
Are your face paint products safe for people with allergies?
If you have allergies, we recommend consulting your doctor before use, especially for severe allergies. If needed, we can provide product composition details directly to your doctor.
Do you have a DBS Check?
There’s often confusion about this, so here’s the honest scoop: Firstly, we don’t technically fit the criteria for needing one. We don’t work regularly with the same groups of children, and we always require responsible adults to be around whilst we are painting. We are never left alone with children - for many reasons, from health & safety, allergy information and behaviour. If any child comes to us alone at public events, we tell them they need their adult with them. At parties, we require responsible adults to be in the room too because in order to keep a safe working environment, we need to focus on our work and not organising a highly energised rabble of children. It is safer, it is more professional, and also provides a more efficient service to be able to get everyone painted in time.
For those who still heavily insist on us having a DBS check at your event:
As a self-employed face painter, I can’t apply for an enhanced DBS check (the kind actually relevant for working with children) by myself. That type of check can only be applied for by an organisation or employer who is sponsoring the work.
While I can have a basic DBS check as a self employed person, it wouldn’t be relevant to safeguarding children.
An enhanced DBS check, which is the only type relevant when working directly with children, must be applied for by a registered organisation or employer. There is no legal route for an individual to get an enhanced check on their own.
That said, if your organisation requires a check, I do have a basic DBS check available upon request. This is dated within 3 months.
What do you need us to supply?
I just require enough space for myself, kit and potential queues, and shelter and shade must be provided if outdoors to protect from varying weather conditions and to keep everyone comfortable.
Do you have public liability insurance?
Yes — I am fully insured, and can provide certificates on request.
What qualifications do you hold?
